Definition and history 

A sports science focuses on understanding the cellular and whole-body effects of sport and fitness and the role they play in improving health and performance. According to the Exercise and Sports Science Australia organization Science of sport aims to understand and improve human performance through a multidisciplinary approach. This field has been studied since the Greek era.  


A degree in Sports Science will provide you with the opportunity to study advanced modules. These include kinesiology, biological Science, nutrition, physiology, exercise nutrition, exercise rehabilitation, physical activity and health, sports injury prevention, chronic disease prevention, and so on. Furthermore, you will learn how to analyze and evaluate sports performance and similar data using statistical research methods.
