Program Overview

Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a bachelor’s degree program:
- Online Application.
- High school diploma or equivalent occupational diploma, incl. experience
- Entrance examination
- Personal interview
- IELTS — overall band score from 5.5
- Passport Copy
- Passport size phot
There is no limit to the number of students who can be admitted (numerus clausus).
Admission procedure
Application process
1. Your application: To apply, you must submit the completed online application form, your résumé, a cover letter (approx. 1 to 1.5 DIN A4 pages), a copy of your passport plus your high school diploma qualifying you for university entrance.
2. Application fee (only for non-EU citizens): In order to check your eligibility to study at UE and to start the application process we ask you in our online application form to pay a one-time application fee of 50 €. Once this fee is received, we will further assess your application and will revert to you directly.
3. Interview: If the members of our selection committee agree that you are a promising candidate, we will call you for an entrance examination followed by an interview. After this, we will tell you straight away if you have been accepted.
4. Reservation fee (only for non-EU citizens): Once you are accepted as a student, you will be asked to pay a reservation fee of 3.000 €. The reservation fee is a one-time payment that will secure your spot and will be deducted from the total cost of the programme. You can find more information about the fee here.
5. Letter of admission: Once we have received your signed contract and the reservation fee of 3.000 € we will issue your letter of admission. This is mendatory for your visa application.

Requirements
Students must meet the following requirements to qualify for a master’s degree programme:

Proof of basic statistics knowledge*
*If statistics was not sufficiently covered in your Bachelor’s degree, you will have the option to take a pre-study course in statistics at UE.

Tips on writing the covering letter
Confidence in the English language is essential for success in your studies. Thus, one purpose of the covering letter is to give us an idea of your language skills. Describe to us in one to one-and-a-half DIN A4 pages (font: Arial 12, single line spacing) why you are interested in the course you have chosen, why you would like to study at University of Applied Sciences Europe, and what your expectations are. You should also include in your covering letter any special characteristics or inspiring experience based on previous internships or work experience.

Monthly tuition fees from 745 € (with payment over 36 months and all semesters). Prices may vary by program, please refer to the program page for details.

No additional costs will be incurred, such as a matriculation fee, exam fees, bachelor thesis fee or similar, as long as the course is completed within the standard study period.
The costs for the semester abroad are not included in these fees as there are substantial differences depending on country and university.
Rebates:
If siblings already study atUniversity of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) then you can apply for a rebate of 10%.
Alumni of our university get a rebate of 15%.

Beyond that, we do have to charge you for the semester ticket, which you can use throughout the entire semester for the respective public transportation systems.
Berlin: 193,80€ for the A, B, and C regions of the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe BVG (for the 2019 summer semester)
Hamburg: 182,90€ for the “Großbereich” area of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund HVV (for the 2020 summer semester)

Definition of a non-EU applicant: this price model is applicable for students with a non-EU nationality.

Application fee
FOR EU APPLICANTS
There is no application fee for EU citizens.
FOR NON-EU APPLICANTS
While you complete our online application form, we ask you to pay a one-time non-refundable application fee of 50 €. Once this fee is received, we will further assess your application.
Reservation fee

There is no reservation fee for EU citizens.
FOR NON-EU APPLICANTS
Once you are accepted as a student, you will be asked to pay a reservation fee of 3,000 €. The reservation fee is a one-time payment that will sercure your spot and that will be deducted from the total cost of the programme, before you are invoiced for tuition.
For example: If your total programme costs 30,000 € and the reservation fee is paid (3,000 €), you would only be invoiced for the remaining 27,000 € in tuition once you start studying.
We have partnered with Flywire in order to streamline the process of this fee. Flywire allows you to pay securely from any country and any bank, generally in your home currency. Once you are accpeted as a student you will be asked to pay the reservation fee of 3,000 €. The payment can be done via the Flywire Payment Terminal.

Other financing options
The university awards each semester partial scholarships for the length of one year. The selection process is managed by University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE).
Many financial institutions, such as Deutsche Bank, Sparkasse or Volksbank, and Raiffeisenbank, offer school loans with flexible monthly payment options. They allow you to negotiate individual terms at a low yearly interest rate.
Germany’s development bank KfW grants full-time students a school loan with a monthly payment option at a low-interest rate.
Particularly talented students can also apply for a scholarship with the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes (German Scholarship Foundation), or with a special interest or regional foundations.
You can apply a year in advance for your desired starting semester. The application deadline for the winter semester is 1 September (Non-EU: 1 September*) and for the summer semester February 28th (Non-EU: February 05th)
